Hello!  I thought you may like to know a little more about me!

I am a mum of 3 girls and have lived in Iver Heath for 35 years and singing has always been a passion of mine.

I loved singing from an early age and used to pester my dad to teach me to play piano and guitar. Later on I had more formal training, learning to read music, and the theory behind it. However, playing by ear has always been my preferred style (no jokes please!).

When I was young I sang in my school choir, and played Dorothy in our school musical when I was 12; it was a natural progression for me to join The St Giles Church Choir in Stoke Poges when I got a bit older. After my first 2 children were born, I was looking for a fun hobby and discovered barbershop, which gave me a sound appreciation of close harmonies. I joined Capital Connection with whom I won several medals.

I have sung in quartets, octets, and other groups, and was a founding member of Signature Singers, an a cappella group.

I sing and play keys in a local Denham band called Miked Up and also play bongos and do backing vocals in So True .. a Spandau Ballet Tribute and 80s band, travelling all over the country.

I run The Sunshine Choir, for people living with dementia, and their carers. We sometimes visit care homes and other groups for a singalong of familiar songs. Let me know if you’d like a visit.

Feel free to drop in to Iver Heath Village Hall any Tuesday during term time. If you have any queries, please email: sara@iversingers.com or call 07733 466177 any time for a chat.

I look forward to hearing from you
