Hello! I thought you may like to know a little more about me!
It has long been a dream of mine to set up a local community choir. I am a mum of 3 girls and have lived in Iver Heath for 25 years and singing has always been a passion of mine.
I loved singing from an early age and used to pester my dad to teach me to play piano and guitar. Later on I had more formal training, learning to read music, and the theory behind it. However, playing by ear has always been my preferred style (no jokes please!).
When I was young I sang in my school choir, and played Dorothy in our school musical when I was 12; it was a natural progression for me to join The St Giles Church Choir in Stoke Poges when I got a bit older. After my first 2 children were born,
I was looking for a fun hobby and discovered barbershop, which gave me a sound appreciation of close harmonies. I loved it,
and was lucky enough to find a wonderful chorus called Capital Connection www.capitalconnection.org.uk, with whom I won several medals.
I have sung in quartets, octets, and other groups, and was a founding member of Signature Singers www.signaturesingers.com
an a cappella group who rehearse at Iver Heath Village Hall on Monday evenings.
During the past few years, I have received some amazing coaching from people all over the world and have gained a comprehensive knowledge of vocal production, and how we can all develop our voices and reach our true potential.
I have also recently started The Sunshine Choir, for people living with dementia, and their carers.
Feel free to drop in to Iver Heath Village Hall any Tuesday during term time. If you have any queries, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07733 466177 any time for a chat.
I look forward to hearing from you.
