Well, here it is! The first page of my blog about all things musical.  Hmmm...where to start?

Right, firstly I guess celebrations are in order.  After much  'to'ing and 'fro'ing and several negotiations, I've finally managed to secure a great location for Iver Singers.  I'm pleased to have booked The Evreham Centre Dance Studio. It is a fairly large room, but can be partitioned into two areas if required.  Also the acoustics of the room are good, there's tea and coffee available just along the corridor, and plenty of parking. 

I joined www.streetlife.com the other day and it has been really useful to network with people in the local community.  I'd really recommend it.  I think Iver has been waiting for this choir for a long time, and I have had a lot of positive feedback about it from people who are keen to come along.  Also, I've had several offers of assistance, which is really lovely.  I must say thanks to Anne Jones who has been secretly working behind the scenes and doing a bit of PR work for me.  Also, a HUGE thank you to the genius known as Daren Mason of www.muddybootsmedia.com fame, who has not only created this amazing website for me, but has also been a wonderful friend and support to me during the past couple of years.

Anyway, where was I, oh yes, celebrating the fact that everything seems to be coming together now ready for launch day on Tuesday 23 September.  If you're not busy on that day, then come along and support your local community choir.  It will be fun!
